Children's Church Ministry

Children ages 2 to Grade 5

Children's Ministry

Children’s Church is an opportunity for Children to worship God, learn from his word and interact with other children in fun and meaningful ways.

We believe Children have an important place in the body of Christ and that the Church has a responsibility to offer and age specific ministry for Children who attend Taber Efree.  We want to see Children say yes to Jesus, to not only know about him but to know and experience Him.  Children, like us learn in different ways, so we offer a time of worship, bible teaching, and a craft/activity.

The morning has three areas.

Worship

We start Children’s Church with worship; we want children to learn to worship with and around others.  We want to teach and demonstrate that worship is not simply about singing, but about offering praise to God, experiencing his presence, and glorifying Him in all that we do.  We believe it is important that Children experience worshiping around their peers but also around the leaders and youth that help lead Children’s Church.

Craft/Activity

Each week we participate in a craft or an activity.  This gives kids time to think creatively or to get up and move around.  God has given each of us gifts and we want to encourage creativity.  This is a time for kids to draw, paint, create and work together with others.  Every week we try our best to incorporate a simple lesson or Bible story into the craft or activity.

Bible Teaching

Bible teaching is a cornerstone to our Children’s ministry. We want children to learn about Jesus so that they would know and understand the significance of who Jesus is and all that He has done for them.  We want children to be able to hear the stories of the Bible, and process and wrestle with what God is doing within the stories we read.

We believe God wants to speak into every child’s life through the word and our hope is that our Bible teaching times can help unlock a passion and a desire to learn from the word.

Children’s Church happens every Sunday morning during the year starting September 9th
