Join Us To Worship GodThis Week: Luke 2:21-38
For my eyes have seen your salvation.
You have prepared it in the presence of all peoples— a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory to your people Israel
Simeon and Anna were devoutly prepared to identify God’s promised Messiah. They bent their lives towards the promise that, one day, God would provide the salvation that their own souls required. But they were not only celebrating of their own salvation. They savoured how the promise was not only for them or for the people that they knew or their own race of people. They marvelled how the Messiah will be a ‘light of revelation’ for all humility who were currently outside of the people of God. The Messiah would also be a glory for the people of Israel; making good what they were trying to show people who noticed their life with God.
Please join us this Sunday as we see Simeon and Anna in Luke 2:21-38. |

Benevolence RequestMcCoy's Hello everyone, As leadership we want to bring an important benevolent request to your attention. As many of you have heard through our prayer chain, Bob McCoy has been going through cancer treatments in Calgary. This has caused an emotional toll and we encourage you to continue to lift the family up in prayer, but it has caused a financial toll as well. Bob’s ongoing treatment has been going well, however, this week they had to put a feeding tube in as Bob cannot swallow anymore. This was always a possibility and likely but now is a reality. Darlene will continue to be with Bob and off work as she will need to be there to clean, help feed, attach and disconnect the tube, etc. As a leadership we want to send this letter to all of you letting you know of the need for benevolence for the McCoy family and to give you an opportunity to respond if you feel led. We would like to gather a love offering for the needs that the McCoy family have. If you are interested in giving towards this there will be a box set up in the church for cash and cheques to be deposited. All donations will be non-receipted as they are a gift to the family. Please prayerfully consider how God may be leading you in support of the McCoys. Sincerely, Ben Matthews On behalf of the Taber EFC Leadership For more infomation visit:
