Join Us To Worship GodSunday Morning Service @ 10:30am Speaker: Micah Motz This Sunday we will finish chapter 16 of John. Over the last four chapters of John, Jesus has been instructing, encouraging and preparing his disciples for what is to come (his crucifixion and eventual departing). Through these chapters we have seen Jesus teach his disciples about the important posture of being a servant leader, what the work the Holy Spirit will do, and that eventually they will be with him for eternity. He has encouraged them to grow in fruit bearing (character and discipline) and to love one another. He has also warned them that at times they will not be well received. As we wrap up these chapters we see Jesus' deisre in verse 33 is that his followers would have peace in Him, thats whay He is has told them all these things in the previous chapters, so that they may have peace in Him. "Because in this world you will have tribulation, but take heart I have overcome the world" John 16:33

TEFC Summer Focus
This summer we will be highlighting our statement of faith. As we move forward in this time of transition as a church family it is important to be praying for the Lord to lead and direct us, it is also important to remember who we are as a church. One of the ways we do that is by being reminded of our theological convictions and the greater body that we are apart of. The Evangelical Free Church of Canada is an association of autonomous churches united in a common commitment to God’s evangel –the gospel of Jesus Christ, who died and rose again to give us eternal life. To God’s glory, the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. Our essential theological convictions are vitally connected to this gospel STATEMENT 3: GOD’S GOSPEL ALONE ADDRESSES OUR DEEPEST NEED. We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God, and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled, and renewed.
