A Update from Pastor Brad
This Saturday is PRBI’s graduation. It’s only taken me 16 years to finish! Just kidding, but it is the end of an era for us. I will certainly miss teaching here. I am grateful for all the blessings I have experienced in this ministry. And I’m looking forward to see what new blessings and adventures await in Taber. Barb has been picking away at the packing. She got this great idea to colour-code the boxes so it will be easy to sort them once we get to Taber. It’s looking more and more like we’ll have to sort out some short term housing, and possibly put our stuff in storage. We are trusting that once we get down there we’ll be in a better position to do some serious house-hunting. It’s hard to house hunt from a distance, and we’re not really the type to buy site-unseen. We may just start by staying with Shalise in Lethbridge for the first few weeks, but we’re open to God surprising us. (I’ve included two pics below: “Barb at work” and “Brad at work.” I’ll let you guess who’s having more fun) On a different note, I’ve been scheduled for lens replacement surgery on my left eye in Edmonton on May 22 (we’re moving on May 13). This might sound like bad news, but actually it’s not. Due to my right eye having a new lens, my eyes are very different, which makes my vision a bit wonky (for lack of a better word). Replacing my left lens will make both eyes similar, which should actually be an improvement. So we’re trusting that this is a positive solution. Also, it seems like all the Mennonites up here are related to someone in Taber, so if you’re Mennonite, there’s a chance I already know your relatives! And … I just found out that a PRBI grad that I taught has been called to pastor the Taber Evangelical Church! So, look out Taber, there’s a PRBI invasion coming. See you soon Barb and Brad |
