Psalms: Growing through Prayer

"Most of Scripture speaks to us; the Psalms speak for us."
- Athanasius

The aim of this series is to help us as a church grow in our expressions of prayer.  The Psalms have been used to shape and guide our prayers since their writing.  In the Psalms, we discover that there is more to prayer than just asking for the things that we want or need.  Prayer is expressing our own hearts towards God and communicating with him; seeking him and his will in the process.

Each Sunday we will explore a particular genre of Psalm that shows us a nuanced expression of prayer.  Our hope is that you are able to discover more of God's character as we pray, but also that you are able to grow and mature in the way you express your own heart to God.
