A Note from Pastor Brett
This past weekend we had our annual leaders and ministry leaders retreat at SABC. It was a great time of fellowship, planning and fun. It was such an encouraging time for me. We have great people who serve here at TEFC, they love the Lord and His Church, and I am honoured and privileged to serve alongside them in ministry. I look forward to seeing what the Lord has for the church in the coming months. This upcoming week I will be in Banff (March 17-20th) for a pastoral conference. Two other pastors and I lead a conference for Associate Pastors each year that focuses primarily on pastoral health. Our heart is to see Pastors have long and healthy ministries and to encourage them that their health as well as their family’s health has a direct impact on pastoral longevity. It has been a highlight of my year for many years now and has become even more important to me since my own burnout a few years ago. I mention here to ask if you would pray for those days! The pastoral landscape is changing in North America, there are less of us now and less people being trained into ministry. Pastoral health and integrity are an essential need in our churches today. Too many Pastors burnout permanently and too many fail. So please pray for me and my friends Ben and Kevin as we lead and facilitate this conference, that the Lord would use it to be encouraging, challenging and life giving to those that attend. I would really appreciate the prayers. This Sunday, I will take us through Romans 6, and Lyndon Klassen will lead worship. We are looking forward to having you join us. I also want to give you a view of our Easter services coming up: March 24th – Palm Sunday (10:30 am) March 29th – Good Friday (10:30am) We will share in Communion together during this service. March 31st – Easter Sunday (10:30am) We hope that you will plan to attend during these times as we remember, celebrate, and are challenged in light of Jesus’s death and resurrection. Have a great week Pastor Brett |
Update from Pastor Brad
Please continue to pray for Brad and Barb as they prepare to join us at TEFC. They have their house on the market now, hopefully it sells soon so they can move forward with packing and other tasks involved with moving. Please also pray for the continued healing of Brad's eye from surgery. Brad has agreed to include an update in the newsletter now and then, so we look forward to getting to know him a bit more that way in the coming weeks! |
